hubbado are currently looking to hire a Business Analyst on an initial 3-month contract with a potential to extend, working on Data Centre as a Service (DCaaS) project. The programme is significant in scale.

 

Due to Brexit there is a requirement for the DCaaS solution to be provided to one of the group operating countries and therefore will require a formalised and repeatable approach. In addition, the process around inter-company purchases needs clarification and a process defined that can be used by all the teams, as they move to a group operating model

Role & Responsibilities: -

 

Requirement 1 – Inter-company purchases & financial cross-charging 

  • To attend, chair meetings & capture the requirements, challenges, risks processes and gaps in process and any relevant documentation from each of the departments for the inter-company purchase model 
  • To plan in collaboration with the programme management team approach, plan and end deliverables.
  • To define prepare & present approach following analysis
  • To drive meetings as required with relevant stakeholders, capture actions and provide updates to the UK project manager
  • To define sub processes & overarching process though to acceptance 

 

Requirement 2 – Support for the DCaaS contract 

  • Capture all UK & third-party vendor support, licensing & hardware information in a clear presentable way
  • Support indirectly the UK Commercial Manager in building out the contract schedules
  • Driving & capturing requirements to complete the contract
  • Engagement with Service Management to capture agreed operational support models and include in the contract
  • Assist DC Operations with defining a service catalogue and capturing pricing, etc for the contract

 

Requirement 3 – Programme support

  • Assist the programme team in providing high quality presentation materials based on requirements 1 & 2 
  • Provide weekly reports on progress, including risks, issues & constraints 
  • Attend programme meetings to ensure alignment to overall programme objectives 

 

Essential requirements

  • Qualified as a business analyst through a recognised professional body
  • 5-10 years’ experience working for large organisations directly or indirectly (Consultancy)
  • Must be able to align to a flexible working policy, including 2 days on site with some travel to sites in London as required
  • Must be self-driven, although will be working in close collaboration and be supported by the programme management team
  • High proficiency in MS office software tools including Visio, Power point & Excel
  • Able to put together director level presentations taking complex business requirements and simplifying in to easy-to-understand process flows
  • Used to working with senior level stakeholders up to Director level
  • Understands finance, tax, VAT, legal & contract terminology
  • Used to working in a fast-paced environment
  • Comfortable working facing customers or third-party stakeholders 
  • Prepared to sign non-disclosure agreements as required 

 

Nice to have requirements 

  • Used to working in a fast-paced environment
  • Has some exposure to complex infrastructure projects or programmes
  • Has experience working around Brexit legislation 
  • Knowledge of MS project 
  • Has experience working for a large media company
