Attend broadcasts or remotely access equipment to ensure that high quality proactive maintenance and reactive support is provided for live production output.
Configure and test live broadcast contribution equipment in conjunction with relevant teams before deployment.
Manage incidents and prevent repetition of faults, improve system availability. Where necessary escalating faults for resolution to third party providers or relevant technical teams.
Create and evaluate technical and procedural documentation for the team and other interested parties.
Collaborate with teams across the business to ensure production requirements, best practices and highest operational standards are achieved.
Be required to travel, work or be on call some weekends as per a rostered shift.
A proven track record in delivering broadcast IT solutions.
Experience in the transmission or transport of video and audio over IP, encode and decode.
SD/HD/UHD/MPEG-4 AVC /H264, MPEG-5 HEVC Video Standards.
Dolby E and Dolby Digital, Dolby ED-2 ac-4 Audio Standards.
NDI/SRT and WebRTC
Cloud platforms and their use in a production environment.
Networks TCP/IP/UDP/RTP and VLAN configuration,
Encapsulation of Transport Streams into IP
Excellent communications and inter-personal skills, sound customer service, motivational skills and experience in technical troubleshooting.
Previous experience of production workflows in live television solutions desirable.
