They are ready for a champion to take ownership, promote collaboration, and push boundaries with the latest technologies and tools so that they can efficiently unlock and harness data to expedite the incredible growth trajectory which they are already on.

You, as Head of Data, will identify, articulate, own and drive the roadmap and business requirements for the implementation of data-driven products, covering key data insights, data tools, dashboards, and trend analysis with the aim of supporting and driving robust, reliable, data-led decision making across all functions within the business.

As Head of Data, you will:

  • Develop and implement a data maturity model, embedding it within the business
  • Develop an Analytics Maturity Model
  • Manage the full data management lifecycle, driving and implementing enhancements to existing and driving the creation of new data products / services
  • Collaborate with key stakeholders to create and manage data products roadmaps
  • Champion data as a key business asset to ensure great buy-in across the business
  • Drive decisions based off qualitative and quantitative research into reporting requirements, market conditions and trends, client activity and trends and competitor activity
  • Be able to work effectively to create MVP definitions and feature prioritisation
  • Manage, shape, develop and mentor a team of direct reports working across BI, MI and data science
  • Be the GDPR champion and drive awareness and compliance within the business

Requirements

  • 5 + years of data and software product management with a background in data science / analytics
  • Demonstrable experience of driving a business through a data maturity model, ideally an industry recognised model
  • Proven history of helping organisations both recognise, and release, the potential value in their data
  • Experience in defining, driving, and delivering data products working across all levels of the business, translate complex data scenarios to non-technical stakeholders to gain buy-in
  • Demonstrable data driven approach to creating MVPs, product feature optimisation and evaluating opportunistic new ideas
  • Passion to harness and utilise large amounts of data and research to recognise and transforming business requirements into actionable and results-driven data products and services
  • Experience with data-centric reporting tools including BI platforms
  • Previously managed, mentored and developed a team of direct reports
  • A can-do attitude in all things, and willingness to roll up the sleeves to do what’s necessary, leading by example
  • Continued learning and passion for maintaining best practice and modern data management methodologies
  • Experience of GDPR regulated data environments
  • Experience of AI (specifically machine learning and deep learning) and managing AI data teams
