As a Senior Pre-Sales Engineer, you'll have the exciting opportunity to help drive growth and shape the future of the organisation in the UK&I. Key Responsibilities: -

  • You are the technical point of contact and trusted advisor for our prospects and clients for the entire sales cycle, starting from design of the target architecture, demonstrating and communicating value for prospects use cases or by connecting partner tools
  • With your strong technical expertise and your hands-on mentality, you’ll excel in proof of value / proof of concepts and work together with our sales and partner teams
  • You conduct technical product presentation and product demos, highlighting the core and most important and valuable product features for our prospects, sometimes also utilizing tools from the BI/DWH and/or Big Data ecosystems

 

Your Profile: -

  • You have extensive experience in a Pre-Sales role, alternatively in a technical post sales position or as a BI & DWH consultant
  • You have a great understanding of modern data architectures and the ecosystem including tools ranging from ETL to BI / analytics
  • You excel at SQL/Data Warehousing and you have experience with at least one other programming or script language
  • You love solving technical puzzles and have a solution and customer-focused mindset
  • Presentations of enterprise software to a technical audience and executives are among your strengths

 

Desired Skills: -

  • MPP database experience (e.g. Exasol, Teradata, Vertica, Netezza, Greenplum, Redshift, Exadata, Impala)
  • Hands on experience in developing ETL / ELT jobs and pipelines
  • Computer Science background
  • Programming experience with Python, Java, Bash, R, or C++
  • Experience with Cloud environments such as AWS, Microsoft Azure and/or Google Cloud Platform
  • Experience with Hadoop / Spark
