Hubbado have the pleasure of a working a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Country Sales Director – Germany.  Our client is a European fuel card provider. The parent companies bring over 50 years of experience to the industry. The aim of my client is to be Europe’s leading fuel card provider.

MAIN GOAL AND OBJECTIVE

The role carries responsibility for leading & driving growth and profitability through sales strategy across a specific geography, combined with country specific leadership. Also ensure that the business retains and attracts new customers through the provision of market leading products and services. Translation of company strategy into local business plans and driving execution of the sales and marketing agenda

  • Building and Leading the field sales team to achieve the required level of growth both in terms of existing customers and new business
  • Managing the Telesales operation to maximize growth opportunities within the small / medium enterprise sector of the market
  • Managing the Account Management team in order to minimize attrition levels and maximize share of wallet
  • Managing the front office function to deliver best in class customer service to drive customer retention
  • Exploring and capitalizing on new market opportunities through strategic partnerships and associations in order to achieve further volume growth in a cost-effective way
  • Develop and deliver a strategy to explore non-network countries through Partners
  • To lead and support marketing initiatives across all channels to deliver profitable volume growth, working closely with central Marketing Dept. in UK

Main Responsibilities

  • To lead from the front in delivering sales growth through activity management - Drive KPI performance along sales process, including activity / applications / start rates & volumes
  • Target volumes for back book customer base, including targets for:

○ Share of Wallet growth

○ Product cross sales

○ Rate

  • Optimise customer profitability by execution of defined rate management policy & initiatives
  • Coach, develop and train sales team members to deliver consistent high performance
  • Day to day management of the internal and external sales team, sales agents and front office teams
  • Working closely with all internal stakeholders to deliver a ‘best in class’ service
  • A hands-on approach in leading the sales department to achieve sales targets as required by the business
  • Create a roadmap for succession planning for future management and leadership development
  • Take ownership of the day-to-day management of the country Offices
  • Create a compelling environment to support performance and retention of people
  • Define and deploy in market commission schemes and tactical incentives

 

Preferred Skills, Experience & Qualifications

  • A graduate with a business-related degree in Sales or General Management
  • General manager type experience (country or regional)
  • A proven track record in leading and developing a high performing sales team
  • Experience in managing telesales and field sales teams
  • Developing and maximizing all routes to market
  • International company experience (preferably Europe and UK combined)
  • Tenacity, strong work ethic with the will to win
  • Worked within Shared Service Centre environment
