This is a great opportunity to join the Cloud Technology Products team that provides simple, zero-friction, self-service access to on-premise and public cloud services for development teams all across the business. You’ll join a talented, ambitious, forwarding-think and diverse team where the focus is on building modern, scalable automated platforms with security and reliability-built in.
What you'll do:
- Help shape and evolve centralised core collaboration tools including JIRA and Confluence.
- Contribute and help deliver a standard DevOps software delivery pipeline to promote the use of cloud technologies, increase developer velocity and early integration of security toolsets into our software lifecycle.
- Champion a “shift left” mentality to deliver a library of automated, self-service capabilities that empower developers across all areas of our business.
- Evangelise the use of Agile software delivery tools and processes, sharing knowledge and best practice.
- Improve and extend the DevOps relationships with multiple teams across our technology, learning more about their requirements, future strategy to determine how to best serve their needs proactively.
- Evaluate industry cutting edge tools and techniques for CI/CD to ensure our platform delivers the best possible experience to the userbase whilst remaining operationally efficient at scale.
What you'll bring:
- Extensive knowledge and experience of working with large JIRA and Confluence environments.
- Proven track record of automation using modern software development tools and techniques.
- Desire to help, educate and influence business stakeholders to adopt standard working models based on best practice.
- Familiarity with enterprise incident, problem, change and release management.
- Capability to define and integrate CI/CD processes and technologies including source code management (GitHub /GitLab), orchestration pipelines (Jenkins/Concourse), automated testing, secrets management (Vault) and code-driven deployment to a variety of cloud platforms (Terraform/ Ansible/Helm)
- Knowledge and proficient use of cloud technologies including IaaS (vSphere), CaaS (Kubernetes) and PaaS (Cloud Foundry).
- Passion for emerging open-source technologies and solving challenges.
The role is fully remote, but candidates living within proximity of London, Leeds or Edinburgh will be preferred.
